We Started With A Simple Idea
Why We Started
Growing up, being outside meant connection, freedom and fun. But as times changed the city and spaces we held dearly started disappearing, taking with it our sense of community.
In a city full of people, it was hard to find people and spaces that represented us. Making Austin not feel like home for those who have been here or just stepped foot in town.
We didn't set out to build an organization. We simply wanted to create a reason for people to come together again and enjoy the outdoors around us.
We went from 12 people at the first event, to 70+ at the second, and 100+ at the third.
We kept asking the same question
